Hello all! My name is Ashley.

I am just starting on my journey, I had some bloodwork done for my yearly physical and was found to have really low WBC counts, so my PCP sent me to a rheumatologist. The first (the mean one) rheumy ran tons of tests and diagnosed me with Fibromyalgia. I didn't like her so I found my new rhuemy who I love and she confirmed my fibro Dx and also said it looks like I may have Lupus also. She's ran test, including an MRI and Xrays and I go back Nov 8 to see the results from that.

She started me on some meds for both the fibro and possible SLE. (There all in my siggy as well as some of my other Dx.)

I am a SAHM to two children, a boy who's 7y/o and a girl who is 22m. My husband works for us in the oil industry. We all live in Houston, TX next door to his parents and they help me a lot when I am down or can't seem to get moving.

Well that's pretty much it, i'll be happy to answer any questions and I look forward to getting to know you all a little better and having a place where everyone can understand what im going through.

Welcome to our forum Ashley. I'm always amazed at the women on our forum who must take care of children so you're certainly not alone, but I know it must be rough. It's great that your in-laws are next door.

I was diagnosed with fibro shortly before lupus and after 5 years I can tell if I'm having a lupus flare, fibro flare, or both. For me lupus is more joint aches and fibro is all over muscle pain. Both have that mind numbing fatigue.

Hi Ashley just wanted to say welcome to the group. I'm sure having family next door is a big help on days when you aren't feeling well. I know it is so frustrating trying to get answers and a DX from your doctor. If you can get a doc you can stand being in the same room with. Hang in there. I've had my DX changed a few times and gone thru 5 rheumy's. Some people have been trying to find answers for years. Hopefully you are getting your symptoms taken care of anyway. That is the main thing for now.

Hey Ashley! Just wanted to welcome you to the forum :) You have found a great place to vent, share encouraging stories, be encourged, just need someone who has a similiar story as yours to talk with. I hope you continue to love your 2nd rhuemy. The first one I saw didnt seem to care and now the one I have is amazing! I love her so much and couldnt ask for a more honest and easy to understand doctor!!!

Welcome Ashley, You will find alot of help and support here. I am still new here but have used this site alot. sometimes I just come and read. I thank God for all of you that post and answer posts on here. I hope you get better soon.
