Sorry to bother you with more questions, but I have had a few grand mal seizures in the past around the time of my brain surgeries but not recently. Last night around 1:30-2:00 am I had the same shock feeling run through me like someone had punched me extremely hard and sudden in the nose and running through my whole body and woke up.
I don't think it was a grand mal seizure as I am sure it would have woken my husband so wondering if petite mal? I am currently on Prednisone 10mg 1x/day, Elmiron 100mg 3x/day, tramadol 50mg 3x/day, and Ambien 1x if needed at bedtime. Is there any possibility one of these could cause it?
I am frankly scared to tell my family doctor about this as it is just "one more thing" where it seems like every day it is something new. 
had a lumbar drain put in my spine after the 2nd brain surgery I had to pull the CSF fluid back out of my head so the operating site could seal up and heal since I was leaking fluid. I am having a very similar (severe) pain that starts in my head and runs down my spine into the backs of my legs that reminds me exactly of the pain from that lumbar drain (which also was when I had my past seizures). Also maybe of note is that my potassium kept dropping really low last year when I had my first "episode" (or whatever you call this). 
They gave me potassium pills for a while and shots at first and it gradually went away.
Does anyone also know if potassium is something they check for routine if you've been to the ER in bloodwork because I had bloodwork done just last Saturday and would think it would have shown up if so--it may have been normal then but again it dropped overnight at times last year when I had this. Sorry to bother you all with so many questions, but just scared to even tell my doctor of this newest worry... Do lupus patients ever have issues with seizures? Or could it possibly be related to my other pituitary issue? I would appreciate any input if anyone else has had any experience with any of these things! Thanks so much! Nicki
