Prednisone hair loss

I am 23 years old and recently diagnosed with systemic lupus, i've been on prednisone for 11 months and 2/3 of my hair has fallen out, will it grow back when i come off the prednisone?? In the meantime are there any products or natural remedies I can use that will help/keep it from falling out as much??

I think we all respond to medications differently. When I was on Methotrexate I had frequent upper respiratory infection including pneumonia. Doctor stopped it and put me back on prednisone. Before I was diagnosed with SLE (21 years ago) I also had arthritic pains, elevated body temperature, and hair falling. After I started prednisone my symptoms improved. With me hair falling occurred when my lupus was out of control. I have tried many other drugs but didn't work for me. I am now on prednisone 7 mg, hydroxychloroquine 200 mg twice daily, colchicine 0.6 mg (for my heart), Benlysta (2nd treatment), and Atelvia 30 mg. I hope your treatment will go well for you.
