Hi! Went to my first rheumatologist visit yesterday, I feel like it went really well. I liked him, which is good since he's the only one in town! He said he wasn't sure what I had going on, but at least believed that something was. He put me on meloxicam for pain and we're trying a short (7 day) trial of methylpredisolone tablets. I am on the second day and my chest actually doesn't hurt or burn, my hands feel somewhat better too. I am kind of surprised, actually, does this stuff really start to work this fast? It tapers down every day and I was wondering what it actually is supposed to do, exactly? I did look it up but wasn't quite clear how it worked for lupus type issues. But I feel pretty good today so that's great anyway. Also, I had a picture of a day after I was out in the sun. I have a pretty clear butterfly rash and felt awful that day. It was around Halloween and we're in the middle of Alaska so he seemed really surprised that I was affected. We have a lot of snow and not a very powerful sun this time of year. Does it take a lot of sun for a reaction? I was only outside for about
20-25 minutes. Thanks so much for any info.
