Lupus confuses me

Has anyone had pleural effusions associated with Lupus? I am having my second one in two years and it is very scary. One doctor seems to think it is Lupus related.

Lupus confuses everyone, even the expert Lupus doctors, so you are not alone!

Lupus confuses me too!

I have never had any issues with pleural effusion. It seems like everyting is lupus related thats part of why this disease is so confusing.

i had a pleural effusions and a pericardial effusion when i was first diagnosed...hurts like crazy lol but prednisone makes it go away. i still get chest pain sometimes and my rheumy ups my prednisone for a little while and it goes away...
