Hi All,
I returned home after having spent ten days helping my parents out (dad has cancer and mom has COPD) and feeling fairly good. The Imuran I have been on for two months seems to be working and I am tolerating it well. So I was surprised when I got hit with a stout wave of fatigue, joint pain and lethrgy this afternoon. I worked in the yard (made sure I was well-covered and wore my hat), but after three hours I felt the same familiar routine settling into my body. It's hard to keep from being depressed!!!! It's times like this when I really hate having this disease. To make matters worse, I found out my cousin, who had Lupus, passed away three days ago. She had a heart attack and they were unable to revive her. So naturally, I freaked out a little. I was in the hospital last summer for uncontrollable atrial fibrillation and so hearing how she died really got me down. I have friends to talk to and a husband who understands what I go through, but I just feel defeated right now. I have two more weeks of work, so that part is good. At least I have the rest of the summer to look forward to....a time of both emotional and physical healing. Thanks for just letting me vent!!!!
