Lupus sore throat pain

I was diagnosed 5 years ago and have been on Plaquinil.  My initial diagnosis was cutanious lupus but my rheumatologist codes it systemic.  I do pretty good most of the time but for the last few weeks I have had allergies which is not unusual but I get a sore throat off and on......sometimes hurts alot and sometimes feels like ear pain and headache.  Is this something else or Lupus?  The MD gave me a nasal inhaler which does seem to help but when the sore throat kicks in............it hurts.  Then it will go away.  Anyone else have this?

 

not totally sure yet that i have lupus but i have certainly had throat probs. started with feeling that i was trying to swallow razor blades & something stuck in throat that i could not swallow past. breathlessness & pain with deep breath also about this time. took months to improve!

It does hurt really bad one minute and then can be better later.  I have had a ton of stress over the last few months.  Today I saw my rheumatologist and she checked my throat.  Told me I have cankor sore in my throat where my tonsil would be.  She touched it with the tongue depressor.........and oh yeah.  Right there.  She gave me some kenalog/orabase cream to put on at night.  Will start that today.  I think I am getting the sores most get in their mouth.....in my throat.  I don't know if that has anything to do with the fact that I was born without tonsils or not.........but I was and my spot is right where the tonsil would be... on the left.  Hope that is all it is.  Maybe more of us get sores in our throat than we know.  I never had them in my mouth..........not really.  Nothing that hurt like this has.  But my skin has not erupted with this major stress time so maybe it just moved there.

Funny that just yesterday i woke up to this awful pain in my chest like a belt was being fastened around it i thought here goes a heart attack now. But obviously not it lasted all day though everytime i took a deep breath it hurt, laughed, coughed even standing up straight hurt i had to have my chin on my chest all day it just made me weak so i was in bed i just kept falling asleep sitting up like 3 times in a day. Today the chest pain went i know it wasnt a sore throat....

Can that come with the lupus then cause ever since diagnosed iv had it about 3 times so far and didnt think much of it its not much to worry about though right.

I guess i have to find more info on this then GERD i have heard of but didnt take much notice before but since the symptoms im going to find out more thanks anyway.

I had a defect with my stomach which caused my spincter (opening at the top of the stomach) to not function properly. I had to have the surgery (Nissen fundoplication) to strengthen the muscles. It has helped me a lot in stopping my GERD.
