my face is getting worse and worse. Does anyone have any suggestions

for OTC meds/creams that might help stop the lesions. Its really taking a toll

on my self esteem. My skin has always been clear. Now I'm 33 and falling apart!

Do you have discoid lupus?

Have you talked with a dermatologist about what is safe to use?

Yes i do. I was told the plaquenil will not work for me. Ive only been perscribed topicals. Its really frustrating.

The lesions and rashes caused due to Lupus comes and goes they can be handled by many creams and ointments also you can go for some injections prescribed by the physicians that help in removing the marks and also oral treatment and topical treatments that includes steroids.

Actually, Angelina, the scars from discoid cannot be removed. They are permanent. They can diminish somewhat initially with the help of Plaquenil & topical steroids, especially if dx'd early. :-)
