Why do we always seem to feel worse on a Weekend?

I'm having issues with my hands. They want to hurt so much especially during typing. They started hurting some Thursday night but I got them calmed down. However as the day has progressed the pain has amped up more.

I'm scared it's RA or Ryanard's starting the way they seem to hurt and turn red and blotchy. I see my rheumy in a couple of weeks, but I might be calling him a lot sooner.

I do have a new rheumy lined up, but can't see him until Feburary 21st.

I'll keep seeing the present one until I feel like I like the new one.

Are you having a cold front come through? I've noticed I hurt all over and feel like crap a day or 2 in advance of a cold front.

So sorry to hear that you're having so much more pain. ((((((hugs)))))) I know the pain stuff really stinks, I never have a day w/o pain. Gosh, I'm not sure what I'd do with myself if I were pain free for a day. That's something to ponder eh?

I hope that once you get in to see your new Rheumy that you'll like them and that they'll be a good one too. I know a friend of mine, who lives in GA, found a new Rheumy that she really likes. He was hard to get into to see also. She waited a long time to see him, but it was worth the wait. If you would like to know this Dr's name I can get it. Who knows, maybe you picked the same one already. Just let me know and I'll ask her.

I know that you're very frustrated with your current rheumy and I would be too. I really hope that the new one works out better for you. Do you know if they have a cancellation list? If so I'd call everyday until I got an appointment.

Hope you have a good weekend and that it isn't to painful. Try to rest as much as you can. It's hard to do but you need to listen to your body. If it's telling you, that you need to sleep, then do that. I know when I'm feeling really bad, sleep is my very best friend in the world.

I haven't forgotten about your wanting my friends Dr's name. I just haven't spoken with her in a few days. I hope to talk with her this week, maybe tomorrow, if I have time between appointments.

I'll get it to you ASAP. I hope that maybe this Dr will be an option for you too. I know that she's very happy with him and her orthopedic doctor also sees him and he really likes him.

Hang in there, I know it's really hard on days. You can do it though, we all do, even though we think we won't make it thru the day. We somehow always manage it someway, I'll keep you in my prayers and positive healing energy is headed your way.

     I agree with the other comments.  I tend to ache and hurt more right before a front comes through.  I really noticed it last week when the rainy weather came in.  We had been having day after day of sun and that I had forgotten what our real weather was like.  With the drop in the barometer, came the cold and the rain and the damp.  And with that came the achiness!!  I usually have my husband build a big fire in our wood stove and then I curl up on the couch to take care of myself!!!
