Hello Lynwood--

Please tell me what you mean by "checking out your signature" for lupus criteria? I clicked on your posting name and was taken to a link with some of your posts, but I must be missing something.
I'm a newbie here.

You can also see the lupus list at lupus.org.

You only need to meet 4 out of 11 indicators to be diagnosed with lupus.

Hi Julie,

Fairly new to the lupus thing (diagnosed Aug last year though had symptoms for 9 years!) so probably don't have as many handy tips as some of the "veterans" here do. What I can say though is make sure you have a good GP and Rheumy because you'll be seeing a lot of them and it makes a huge difference to stress levels if you get along with them (speaking from experience). I'm fortunate that my current team tolerate a lot of my questions and view it as a good thing that I'm engaging in the process rather than me "challenging" their expertise.

I'm not on here super often as I'm usually far too tired after work to read through posts, but I wish you well - might see you around the forum.

Today my hands are swollen and I have various joint pains.
Once you get on medications the fatigue will ease some. There's always some pain and swelling going on though.

Also same here! I have been dealing with it for 10 years of doctors saying maybe lupus. The past year has been terrible. Including hives all over my body. I feel like a lepper some days and strangers stare at me. It's very painful and really hard to cope some days. Gotta keep fighting but I don't know anyone who has it. I stumbled on this site and I found seeral people who are saying the same things. This make me feel less crazy. I even had a lp done and it says autoimmune disease but it's still a fight to get an official diagnoses. I'm on plaquinel now hoping it does the trick. Anyone else know anything about this drug?
Scared and frustrated. :( help

I've been on plaquenil for three years now. It's a miracle drug for me. I was in terrible pain and it hurt so much to move. It's helped calm my symptoms down enough I can do some things without crying .
