Congrats! I was diagnosed with Lupus in the summer of 2013 and found out I was pregnant that September. I am now 37 weeks along and doing well. I won't lie, it has not been easy but no pregnancy is. I had terrible morning sickness for the first three months and lost 25 pounds in the first two months. I had really significant joint pain and exhaustion for a good part of the first two trimesters. Find a good high risk OB that you and your partner and happy with and be prepared for lots of appointments. Ask all the questions you want and if a doctor has a problem with that then he or she is not the doctor for you.
Get lots of rest, keep hydrated and take your medications and exercise as much as you can. I can only walk but even that counts. You and baby should both have echocardiograms (baby at around 16-18 weeks), plus expect tons of blood tests n(especially for Anti RHo etc antibodies) and extra ultrasounds. Follow your gut if you do not feel well and keep your doctors updated. Get copies of all test results to keep for yourself and take to any new doctor your see and to the hospital when you give birth (just keep copies for yourself).
Fortunately of us, baby is doing really well and only a few more weeks to go. It is entirely possible to have a healthy pregnancy with Lupus. Just take care, rest and follow your doctor's advice and your gut. Ensure you have proper follow up after birth and that baby sees a Rheumy around 4-6 weeks old.
Good luck!
