New rheumatologist doubting diagnosis

My new rheumatologist is thinking that I don't have SLE but Sero-negative Arthritis.

He ran all my tests again and did xrays and says he can't find any signs of SLE. But I definitely have SA. He thinks mine is psoriasis arthritis kind.

I guess it's good news and bad news???? confused

You know, sometimes I think the diagnosis really doesn't matter.

But what DOES matter is that your symptoms are treated and controlled!!! If he manages to do that, then everything else is gravy!

So far so good. My fibromyalgia has quieted down and lupus is quiet also.
My SED Rate is up and Complement is low. Hemocrit and MCHC is low.

I still have issues with my joint pain but it's down to a 3 or 4 most days.

That sounds like great news! Arthritis definitely sounds like a better diagnosis! I think I may also have psoriatic arthritis, hopefully will find out soon!

What is the MCH? This has shown high on my routine bloodwork even before any ANA testing.

It's the size of your red blood cells.

Thanks. I just noticed that on my bloodwork there is MCH as well as MCHC, which is what you are talking about. What's high for me is MCH.

No wonder bloodwork results are confusing!! :)
