POF and Gastroparesis, Related Problems?

I was recently told that I have premature ovarian failure (not a huge deal, I wasn't planning to have kids) and am left wondering why. I also have gastroparesis that I haven't really dealt with other than making some dietary changes, I completely cut out dairy and gluten. I am headed in to see an endocrinologist but couldn't get in for a month so I've been going a little nutty wondering what the heck is going on. I have had a WEAK POSITIVE ANA test result in the past, followed by a negative ANA test result. Anyone had any experience with these two problems together? Thanks for your help.

Not sure if it is related, but I have been diagnosed with Lupus in 2012. I had partial hysterectomy in 2013. Limited my gluten and dairy intake. Late 2015 had endoscopy done and was diagnosed with Barretts esophagus and gastroparethesis. Gastro doctor put me on Nexium and domperidone for the parethesis. It is supposed to get the food moving through my stomach. I don't feel it helps much, now I am having kidney problems not sure if it is from medicine or progression of lupus.

Welcome to Healing Well. You may already know this, but a positive ANA just indicates you should probably be checked out for a variety of auto-immune illnesses - that is, if you have symptoms. Usually a rheumatologist is the Dr that handles these illnesses.

I'm not really sure how that relates to gastroparesis -- I thought that would be treated by a GI doctor, not an endocrinologist. Is the ovarian failure why you are seeing the endo?
