Lupus and other Autoimmune Diseases

I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis last July. In October I was diagnosed with Autoimmune Hepatitis and then in November diagnosed with Primary Schlerosing Cholangitis (PSC) or Bile Duct Disease.

Started having joint pain last September but now it has gotten worse so Rheumy and Hepatologist suspect Lupus. Early testing results are positive.

I have been on Humira since April but have been told that my Lupus is not drug induced.

Looks like my Autoimmune system is out of control. Have had a slow release Prednisone shot that supposedly lasts for 3 months and am on Plaquenil.

Anybody else experienced anything like this who has had any success slowing their Autoimmune system from attacking itself?

Sorry for all your suffering. You are in the right place for answers and support. I have ulcerative colitis since 2005 which is thankfully in remission. I started having widespread joint and muscle pain almost 3 years ago along with swelling and other symptoms. My only positive blood test was the ana. Everything else is normal. My rheumatologist says I am prone to ai issues. I also have vertigo since the winter. I wish I had an answer for you but some of the people on this site have been lucky enough to hit remission with their lupus. Good luck. Keep us posted.

Sprouts are very bad for triggering flares but what does help the immune system is yogurts and Probiotics Drinks such as Yakults, which i have daily to help my flares but if you ever take antibiotic's for anything make sure you have probiotic's with them as it helps your immune system besides the antibiotics as they try to help what ever your taking them for.
