For the past week I have been having pain in my legs.  It is an achy pain from my knees all the way down to my toes.  It bothers me so much at night that I am having trouble sleeping. Does anyone else have leg pain?

Yes, quite often. I will run a low grade fever with it too. It feels just like those "growing pains" I've had since I was little, just more intense and more often now. Moist heat is the only thing that helps mine.

I have those and have to try to pop my knees or my toes just to try to get comfortable. I also have cystics in my legs. First started on the left side now also have them on the right side. Sometimes feels like someone came up and kicked me.

Is it more of a bone pain or a muscle pain? I had muscle pain in my legs intermittently when I was first dx, but it has been pretty much controlled by Plaquenil & Piroxicam (Feldene). Put it on the list to ask the dr about ! Cheers,

Lynwood, it really doesn't feel like muscle pain. It feels deeper, like bone pain I guess. My next Rheumy appt is not until August so if it doesn't improve soon I'll call him. It was bothering me last week and then I went to Atlanta to visit my son over the holiday weekend and walked a good bit shopping with him and his wife. It just makes me so angry when I can't do things like I used to.

I have been having deep bone type pain in my hip, thigh, and knee for over a year. It has gotten so bad that I can barely walk without crying even with a forearm crutch/cane. I am being sent for pain intervention because an MRI and several x-rays were normal. I would ask for xrays and an mri especially if you have been on steroids.

Bamagirl, this is a long shot, but when your legs hurt do you have a need to move them around in bed? If you have a partner, do they complain about your legs moving at night? I have restless leg syndrome and my legs hurt, plus they feel they have ants crawling around in them, and I have a constant need to wiggle my feet and move my legs. I take neurontin and it helps me AND my hubby. You don't mention any these other symptoms, but I thought I'd ask. Restless leg can be much worse than mine and I know folks who have lots of trouble with it. But it does keep you from getting a good night's sleep.

I hope you find out what the problem is.
