HI EVERYONE
DOES ANYONE EVER EXPERIANCE ABD PAIN RIGHT UPPER LIVER PANCREAS AREA, IVE BEEN GETTING FLAIR UPS WITH N/V/ DIARRHE. MY LABS SHOWED NOTHING , I JUST GET REALLY DEHYDRATED AND BLOATED ANYONE HAVE SOME SIMULAR PROBLEMS

Hi Jan:

I'm sorry to hear that you're having pain in this area. Do you still have your gallbladder? I know that your gallbladder is located just under your liver and it can cause lots of pain if you've got gall stones or gallbladder disease. Just s you know your pancreas is actually on your left side of your stomach area. It's over on the left side like your spleen is.

When my gallbladder went bad, I had diarrheas, vomiting, and pain terribly bad. Once I had the gallbladder removed it all cleared up. Hope this information helps. Wishing you the best and I hope you feel better real soon.

Hi Jan, I do get that alot but like you they never seem to find a cause. However what Barb mentioned could be the cause as well. I had my gallbladder out in 2000 and I had some of the same symptoms with it. The bloating was just awful. Especially right after I ate. I hope your doctor can get to the cause of it.

well ok that rules out the gallbladder. sometimes things just aren't as easy to figure out as you would think. I always thought mine was coming from my kidneys. other than a cyst there is no problem there. Hopfully you doctor can figure it out.

My niece had this problem about two years after her gallbladder surgery, she was diagnosed with a combination of IBS and Shpincter of Oddi dysfunction.  Apparently, once the gallbladder is gone, the bile has nothing to contain it, and in some people it irritates the Shpincter of Oddi, causing it to spasm, which is very painful.  I hope you find out what is happening soon, and that you are able to treat it and feel better quickly.  Are you seeing a good gastroenterologist?

Are you taking any meds as a result of taking out your GB? Some people cannot tolerate too much after GB removal as Victoria was saying and they are on meds such as Questran or Welchol to bind the bile. Sometimes the bile can be dumped too fast since its not regulated by a gallbladder and I would imagine it would cause burning. I still have mine but my husband has had his removed due to stones and he does get a bit discomfort at times in that area but nothing like he had when he had the stones.
