Redrose - My heart goes out to you. Both my pregnancies were complicated. A new mom has enough worries and then being ill on top of it can be overwhelming. Somehow, things have a way of working out in the end. You sound as if you are doing your best and keeping on the ball with your treatment. You deserve a pat on the back. Speaking of which, sounds like you have a good man there. I'm glad to see you have support and someone to help comfort you. My thoughts were to practice on the deep breathing and meditation skills to conserve energy and slow the heart rate down. My contractions were still there with the procardia but very light, made birthing easier. It was either that or the umpteenth steriod shots. My son popped out in 20 minutes with 2 minutes hard labor. Such a blessing, almost worth the torture I went through during pregnancy. Has the doctor talked to you about your high blood pressure. The cause, various medications, ways to naturally slow it down, eating, etc.? I had it with my daughter. Talk about some nervous doctors. Funny thing, was that it went back to normal a couple of hours after giving birth. But the trouble was during labor. They really need to get it down as much as possible prior. Remember limit stress, everything can wait. Your girls will see you next year, and the following years. I'm sure it breaks your heart, but first things first. Right now you and baby have to get through this year. My thoughts and prayers are with you - Kristin
