Rash keeps growing

I found a rash on my stomach this afternoon.  It was in a horizontal line with a red mark every 1/2 inch.  The line went from my belly button to my side.  Now there is a second area about 2 inches below that running in a somewhat horizontal line and the red marks are closer.  This is all on the left side of my torso.  At first I thought it was early stages of shingles but now I'm not sure.  I'm starting to get the red marks on the right side of my torso and I have two almost in my arm pit now.  Total there are 32 red marks over my torso ... When I googled shingles it said it was uncommon to get on both sides of the body but it didn't say you never got them on both sides of the body.  When I look at rash photos, it looks like early stages of shingles/chicken pox (but no blisters yet), no fever and the headaches I've been having for a month I'm sure doesn't have anything to do with it.  I had chicken pox bad as a child and as far as I know I have not been exposed.  Sometimes they itch, sometimes they burn.  Any thoughts?

It does sound like shingles because it acted on each side separately. If there is a chance the abnormal will hapen, it happens to us. Call the doc NOW, because the meds for shingles work best if they are taken w/i a short time of the start. Then post an update AFTER you get your meds (if ordered) and have taken them. Blessings!

Dr. said that even though it looks like shingles he doesn't think it is.  Because I have it on both sides of my body and he has never seen it on both sides he thinks that it is just a lupus rash.  He's put me on a 10 day dose of Cipro along with the yeast infection pill and hopefully I'll be all better.  The one thing he did find was I have a ear infection in my left ear.  That explains why I've been so dizzy and the headaches. 

Just an add on note ... the spots are starting to change and I am getting little blisters on each red spot.  Very strange ... it does look like shingles.
