I've been experiencing some bruising that won't heal - they don't bother me or hurt, just unpleasant to look at.  I've done some research and the symptom could be related to Lupus, steroid treatment, or just a bruise that has walled.  Anyone have experience with these?  My Rheumy doesn't seem concerned about the purple splotches on my leg, but I hate having to wear pants all of the time.

Jenny I get random bruises on my legs, for no reason. They last forever and hurt if you touch them, but my Dr. doesn't know why I get them. She has checked my plattlets and that was ok. So I can't help you out with a reason why but yes I do get them.

Yeah, bruising like that is really common, especially for those of us on prednisone.  That's what's causing it.  I'm covered in them too. I don't even know how I get half of them.

Hello, Jenny. I have random bruising, too. I wonder if our inflammation problems can cause the bruising or, at least, contribute to it. I hate wearing pants so much too, but it is not hard in the winter here in Michigan. do you live in a warm climate?

Audrey, I wish I lived in a warm climate! :) But I'm not too far from you --- central Ohio. Guess it's time to go shopping for more pants!

I think we all have bruising because of the steroids. My arms are the worst. I can't wear short sleeve shorts any more.
