Father passed away, now flaring

Hello all, I hope everyone had a happy & safe new year.  :) My father passed away on Dec. 26 at the age of 57 from a heart attack.  I've been doing my best to comfort my Mom who is taking all of this pretty hard.  In the mean time, my Lupus has been flaring.  I'm having significant swelling, joint pain, & fatigue.  I know I should go see my Rhumy, but at the same time I've been battling a discrimination lawsuit with my employer for 3 months - so money is pretty tight after the holiday season.  I know many of you will be able to relate to my situation, but I just cannot get the flare to calm because I miss my Dad so much.  I've never lost an immediate family member that was so close to me.  To make matters worse, my Mom lives 3 hours from my house.  The good news is that I can visit her anytime because I don't have a job.    I'm not really looking for advice or suggestions, just a shoulder to lean on right now during this time of sadness.  Thank you for reading.

((((( Jenny ))))) I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your dad. I lost my mother in law several years ago and it is still hard to cope with at times. I agree with Rosie, at least call your rheumy and see if there is anything he can give you to help with the flare. Other than that just take good care of yourself, eat right, get plenty of rest and stay hydrated. I know how hard this is right now, lean on your friends and family and know we are here for you. I wish I could say more that would help you but I know there's really not a lot anyone can do right now. Just know you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. **hugs** to you!!!
