Hi again, I forgot to ask in my other thread if you ever have skin pain/tenderness? Let me explain. Do you ever have pain on some areas of your body? Like the other day, I had this pain on my stomach, not inside. It would hurt to run my hand across my skin and still does.

Doesn't hurt to press on it, just when something runs across it. Very weird.

Anyone?

That's a very classic symptom of Fibromyalgia.  I can have skin that hurts so bad if feels like it's been burned. I can't have clothing touch it or sheets.  It's awful sometimes. Fibromyalgia isn't an inflammatory disorder, but a hightened pain sensory disorder. It runs along side of lupus very often.  It can also be present without lupus.  This is just an idea of what it might be.

I have experienced this same sensation on my face and side of my head, feels very weird. Thankfully it hasn't happened in a while.

While surface pain & tenderness could develop into shingles, shingles usually follow certain nerves, and will develop small blisters within a few days. Once started, the sensation would remain until blisters developed, they wouldn't be as fleeting as described in the original post.

There is nothing on my skin at all. Just a small area, maybe about 6inches. like ginny said, just feels very sensitive, so sensitive that anything that runs across it (like my hand or a sheet) hurts bad. No bumps ,lumps redness or anything.

No, you don't have shingles.  You'd know something was really wrong if you had that.  Not only would you have the blisters, but you'd be really sick too. 

 

Definitely talk to your rheumy about fibromyalgia.  It's funny, lupus can create all kinds of weird and wacky symptoms.  The skin tenderness is very common.

Yeah, I didn't think it was shingles. It's as if the skin is hyper-sensitive. Maybe it has to do with the nerve endings.
