Who gets more sick more as far as colds and the flu

People with Lupus or people with Fribro.

Because all my test came back normal my dr said I don' have Lupus. I had an ER Dr state that I have Fibro.

But it seems like I'm always sick any more. I seem to have more sore thoarts and fevers in this past start of the New Years than I have had my whole life. I've been sick before don't take me wrong and it seemed to last. But just as I get over being sick if I come in contact with anyone that is just a little sick I get alot sick.

This week I can't close my daycare so I may be making my daychildren sick but I was just closed week before last.

I need the money.

I don't have fribro but I have lupus when somebody gets sick I seem to get it, but longer and sicker. My daughter works for a day care center, when she gets sick she last for two to three days when I get sick I don't bounce back as fast. Sorry to here that your sick. Hope you feel better soon.

Thank you joinery. My b/f seemed upset this morning cause I told him I was sick again. I feel like crying.

I'm the total opposite. I haven't had a cold or the flu for years.  The last bad thing I had was lupus induced pneumonia in 2003.  I don't ever catch anything from anyone!  I think my immune system is working extremely efficiently now.  Not hyper, not suppressed.  I'm in a good place!  My family calls me Superwoman because I'm the only one who never catches a bug!  Weird eh..

 I'm more like Ginny in this sense. I rarely catch anything and I work in a doctors office. When I do get something, it lingers for a long time though.

I've watched children for 2 1/2 years. Had them come with fevers,coughs and colds. Never caught anything but this year has been rough on me.

 started taking Amitriptyline around the same time I started getting sick, I wonder if the two go hand in hand.

Hi hun, i'm sorry you have been sick but I know when people work around children that seems to happen alot. I don't have fibro. but I'm always sick. I figure it's the plaq. and the pred keeping my body from fighting off stuff. I take zythromiacin, 20 days of every month. first 2 weeks of the month I take it every day the last 2 weeks I take it monday wenesday and friday. than i start all over again. Doctor says I'll have to do that for the rest of my life. :(. Maybe the amitryptoline isn't good for you? You should discuss that with your doctor. I'm sorry your b/f made you feel so bad this morning. It's hard for people who don't have a chronic illness to understand. Maybe it's time to get the spoon theory back out again?

I'm like okie. I don't have fibro, but I catch everything that comes along! I figure it's all the immunosuppressant drugs too. I was working as a pediatric nurse before disability and it was disasterous for me! Judy
