Question on Methotrexate

Wondering what dosage of Methotrexate every one is on.

I'm currently on 15 mg/week. However my rheumy said if I have a hard time getting off of prednisone, he can up my methotrexate because I'm not yet at the maximum dosage.

Kim,

I am currently on 10 mg of injectable mtx a week, and the most I could tolerate was 15. It helped me wean off of pred. and I now only use prednisone when I am flaring. I unfortunately cannot tolerate more!

I am on 7.5 mg, I just started taking it about 3 weeks ago. I am also on 100mg of Imuran. I hope it works well for you so you can come off pred.

Kim, I started at 15 mg and upped to 20mg. I took mtx for about a year - over a year ago and did quite well on it. The biggest thing I noticed was that the fatigue lifted quite a bit. Blessings!

I'm at 15mgs too. My liver enzymes have jumped up a couple of times so my Rheumy doesn't want to increase it any further and I'm doing okay at 15mg anyway.
