Hey all. I have a tall tale for you all. I am just not sure if I can believe this logic! I was just curious if anyone else has heard anything similar.....
about 6 months ago I started having pain in my neck, up into the back of my head. I told my rhemie and he said it is not rhematic, probably muscular. I guess neck pain in the joints is only in advanced stages of connective tissue disease. I am not sure what the difference is since all my other small bones and joints are affected.... Anyhow, he wanted me to go to physical therapy. It helped only for a few hours after treatment. I went about 8 times. A few days ago I went to a chiropractor. He asked me about any injuries/accidents and I said no. He insisted I must have been in a car accident sometime in my life. Okay, yea 8 years ago I was. Someone ran a stop sign, I was a passenger and hit my head on the windshield a few times (no seatbelt I wear it every day now, airbag deployed but didnt work). I went to the hospital, they did x-rays everything was fine. He said that your spine lenthens from injury to heal and then stretches and doesnt know how to interpret pain. He thinks that explains my whole disease process! Crazy huh? I have to get some x-rays and go see him next week, I just thought this was crazy. Not that it doesnt sound great to be "cured" with a weekly bone adjustment....
So anyone see a chiropractor? What was your experience?
