Finding your happy place!

I'd like to share a little about finding a happy place this afternoon after work. I was pretty exhausted, the fatigue setting in, the arthritis in the thumbs really acting up, and lots of other nagging little things going on. Offered to stop at my friends barn and do a Reiki treatment for one of the horses....a beautiful 30 year old male named Cory. He has problems with his legs, so every so often I'll give him a treatment. The happy

place I found is the fact that I also receive benefits as well while giving a treatment. My energy levels were raised, my thumbs were not hurting one single bit....lots of the other things didn't seem to be of any problem at all....relaxation level was way up there too! No pain. What's great is that it is damp, cold and pouring rain here....all things that seem to make the arthritis, and raynouds more pronounced....and no pain....so, yes, I found a happy place today.

Hi Sunshine!

What a wonderful story! Thank you for sharing that with us. I think the connection between animals and humans in a healing sense, is tremendous and profound. Horses are very special in so many ways when it comes to bonding and almost telepathically sending energy back to us in return. Have you experienced this with Cory or other horses before?

Your happy place made me smile. Get choked up actually.... Thanks for making me cry! LOL Good tears of course.

Glad I was able to make you cry in a happy way!! Any time I've given Reiki sessions/treatments, I've received the benefits as well! It is wonderful every time. I started Reiki to help my boyfriend, he has MS. Lots of great results. He has had MS for 23 years, and decided not to go the pharmaceutical route....best decision he ever made.(for him) He sticks to all natural/organic diet, keeps the stress levels as low as possible, and takes his vitamins, minerals, oils, and Reiki, as well as Qi Gong.....very very very relaxing. I've gone on to become a Reiki Master/Teacher, it's very rewarding, and very spiritual. The Qi Gong is what I call low dose yoga!!! It's a wonderful form of meditation/relaxation, with no difficult poses....when I start my day with this, I am more alert, more focused. Lots of clarity.

I have to add that my boyfriend is pretty healthy still....you can't tell there is anything wrong medically except for when he walks, his legs hurt, so he has a bit of a limp, and gets tired quickly when doing too much...other than that....he's good.

p.s. now to get him to give me a full session as he is also a Reiki practioner. I can do treatments on myself, but it seems more beneficial when someone else does them!
