Well, when I saw my nephrologist on last Wednesday, she sent me straight to the hospital and I just got home a couple of hours ago. I was in a massive flare and had to have 2 units of blood. I was sooooo short of breath because my hemaglobin was really low. I had several factors contributing. I had bleeding ulcers, bone marrow suppression from the lupus and of course meds contributing. Then I had hemmorhaged. THey took off 25 pounds of fluid in 7 days! Needless to say, I am a little weak.
I have to say, I received the most awesome care! I was so impressed and pleased with the standard of care. My kidney function dropped to 16%, but it came back up to 34%, so we're just watching and waiting. I am very thankful to be home. I hope you all are doing well. Love and prayers, Judy
