today I asked to meet with my manager due to a certain vibe I was sensing thru out the dept, it was kinda hostile. So I had questions & concerns i wanted to have addressed. All of a sudden it turned into "because you've been sick lately....", or "because of your illness..." this, that, and the other. She goes on to say " We(upper
management) plans on making changes in the dept. regarding how our work is processed. and there are higher expectations, which might be very stressful and that may cause your illness to flare up...you may need to check out what other dept. have
openings"
Although she was being gentle and heartfelt w/ the info.
I wasn't
getting fired, written up or put on warning.(according to my manager)
I felt like crap, b/c basically I was told that I'm a horrible worker and it's all due to me having this disease...not true. All of my
former managers have told me that my work ethic is aewsome, I get my work done, I'm prompt, I'm courteous. I know my role as an employee. I don't sh** away my day by not doing work.
oddly enough, after our little "
meeting" she had advised me to keep what was discussed private....hmmmmm? why? Mind you there was no "writes-ups" or "performance evals" given. So me thinks something is fishy here?
if i were to take this to a law office would I have a case, IF they tried to fire me based on my illness
