nausea with darvocet?

I was hurting last night, took a Darvocet, and did fine.

This morning I took another Darvocet with all my other meds at breakfast.  It's quite a cocktail, but doesn't upset my stomach.  Now I'm at work, and the nausea is overwhelming.  I'm reeling.  I just ate some crackers and drank a little Diet Sprite and hope I can calm down a little.  I'm a music teacher and another kindergarten class will arrive in fifteen minutes.  Thank goodness I have a little break between them today.

Anybody else deal with nausea over all the pills we have to take?

Heartsong, I used to get nausea quite a bit with my pills, but not as bad anymore. It really stinks that a lot of these meds are so hard on our stomach. It looks like you are on several meds that are hard on your stomach - prednisone, plaquenil, aspirin and ibuprofen. My stomach got so bad after a while on prednisone that I have to take prilosec everyday. I started out on prevacid which worked great, but it's too expensive. You might want to ask your doc about taking something daily to protect your stomach. It sounds like you are doing everything right by taking your meds with food and trying to calm your stomach with soothing foods. Good luck with the kindergarten class. I'm sure they are adorable, but it must be so hard to teach when you are not feeling well.

Heartsong, When I was taking a "med buffet", I used to place the pills in a daily divider so I'd take some with B'fst and some with Dinner, some at bedtime. It really helped the tummy. A pharmacist could help you decide which meds to take when. Sometimes they work better if taken away from some of the others. Blessings!
