Boy, its nice to be back online!  I had been feeling great...so great that I was just going and doing like I hadn't in a long while.  The entire time I had a lil voice telling me..."slow down, your gonna crash, this isn't as good as it seems, don't over do it"...I should have listened!  I knew I should have rested, listened to my aches and pains, listened to my own voice of reason!  I paid for feeling good!  I didnt go for a run or party all night....I cleaned the darn house, visited my grandmother 2 miles away, went to the store, over a week and a half!  Geez is that too much to ask!  Anyways, once again, I should have listened to my body.  If I had, I may have handled my house flooding last Saturday a little better!  I "lost it" on the poor maintenence man the Condo Association sent to remove my drywall(Assoc. is responsible...foundation leak).  In a fit of exhaustion, frustration, and rage, I actually went as far as saying that the stress they are causing (by doing stupid things like not responding to my calls for 4 days, arriving late and with no tools, trying to re hang wet and molded insulation and drywall) was litterally killing me.  They just looked at me like I was crazy!  I have resolved to do nothing until Monday.  Tonight has been the first time I have felt up to digging my way to my computer!  So, for now I am ENJOYING having my bedroom in my livingroom...litterally, my bed, dresser, everything is in my livingroom until the repairs are complete!  Ahhhhhh, that just relieved some stress!  Thanks and those of you down south, stay safe!

((((((((((( SSDore ))))))))))))) OH NO! We've all done that . . . over and over. DOY!!! * picture an emoticon banging into the wall over and over and over and over * I'm so sorry your house flooded. Ouch!! So much stress. Thanks for posting!! I hope you feel better after resting and getting back to pacing the resting and activity. Blessings!

SS, I'm sorry to hear that you overdid it while you were feeling better, but boy can I ever relate to that. I am the queen of doing too much when I am feeling better. I ignore that little voice that tells me to slow down and rest. I'm sorry to hear about the flooding - that kind of stress can push us lupies over the edge. Make sure you get rested up again and hopefully it won't take too long to feel a little better again. It was good to hear from you.

Hey hun, sorry you aren't feeling well but like rosie said we have all done it. It just feels so darn good to feel human for a change. I hope the association is covering the cost! I can't beleive they were trying to put up moldy insulation! There is a lot of flooding going on here too. the roads are closed and we made a video this morning. I was standing in the middle of the interstate because it's closed. I'm in oklahoma and hoping we don't get the remnants of ike! we'll see.
I hope your fridge and microwave are close at hand. what the heck if you're going for it ya might as well go big!

Thanks guys! I flooded again Saturday. Expecting that this would happen considering the problem had not been fixed, I looked at the mess, shook my head and shut the door...damage is done, no point waisting my energy cleaning it up again! I called this morning, the association is 100% liable, I threatened to repair and sue. I hate to go that route but Im tired, so tired, it would be easier to let someone else deal with it. Thanks for your replies and have a good one!

I know how it feels to live in one room of your house.  My house was condemned at one time, and i was able to get one of those Fanny Mae loans or something like that.  The feds gave me a loan that I did not have to pay back, unless I moved out of my house.  the loan money completely remodeled my house.  well not completely.  Most of my murals were saved.  But i lived in one room of my house.  all my furniture was put in my building, and they also paid to build the building for me.  I had a rollaway bed in here, the computer, a microwave, coffee pot, and chest of drawers.  When the rest of the house was complete, I moved to the next room for a few days, til they got this one completed.

I had men in my house all day, every day.  Had to use a porta john outside even, for awhile.  Never considered that the stress this caused had anything at all to do with my lupus.

I simply learn more and more here at this wonderful place..........to me.

I hope you've had a chance to slow down and take it easy. Don't beat yourself up though because we've all done just what you have. In fact I've done it over and over. Hippi and I have asked each other just that question: Why is it that when we feel good we seem to forget that we can't do everything we want! We overdo it and then crash. We all need to keep reminding each other to keep it slow and easy.

Hope things are back to normal (whatever normal is for you) and that your maintenance man has completed the repairs.

Even after somebody warned me the other day not to do too much, I still did too much.  It feels so good to have the energy back, even if it is only a little.  So I didnt have to take a break.  I washed all of the dishes that were dirty all at the same time.  then I swept and mopped the kitchen floor, and fed the birds.  It was too much.  I know better.  did it anyway.

I think it is really hard not to use that energy even if only a little bit comes back.  we just have to keep on, keeping on, even when we make mistakes.

Thanks for all of the kind words!

I am still dwelling in my living room, its kinda nice!  I can see my bird feeders and am fairly comfortable!  I am waiting for it to rain really good to be as sure as possible that the exterior repairs are good before allowing the interior to be repaired.  I have realized that I can only stress so much about it...it is what it is!

I had an appointment last week that the SSA set up...I hope I get my decision soon!
