last night i got out of bed to get a drink of water. when i stood up i noticed that i was dizzy and when i began walking i was stumbling all over the place and i could barely stand. the room began to spin and i fell when i managed to get up i fell again. once i got up the second time i had to hold on to the counter to keep from falling again. I was extremly weak and my legs were shaking uncontrollably. somehow i managed to stagger back to bed but when i stand or walk a short distance i begin to feel light-headed and as if i'm about to pass out. does anyone have any clue as to what this could be and should i be concerned?

wow i just want to send big hugs!!!!!! i am new here but it seems like that could be due to many of the dx's you have. ok so i'm just going to leave this to some of the ladies/gents here who know more than me.

Hi superwoman. I've not had that experience, but it does sound like something you should be concerned about . I see you have some issues with your heart and your kidneys and you want to make sure that your symptoms aren't being caused by problems with either one of those things. Please put a call into your doctor because they may want to check you out to see what is going on. It's better to be on the safe side. Let us know what you find out. Make sure you are resting and taking good care of yourself.

I agree with Hippimom, you have existing heart an kidney problems, so making sure you're okay in that regard is important. I wouldn't let this episode go without telling your doctor about it.  Just to be on the safe side.

low blood pressure does this to me. I can't stand up too quickly. I've been this way since I was very little. I've always had low bp. its a thought and easy to check out. walgreens and cvs usually have the bp checker (have someone else drive)

I have had this experience.  I told the doctor my symptoms, when this flare first started.  that is when he did the blood work that got the ana thing positive.

Others may have a good point too.  Low blood pressure.

Mine also happens with diarreah.  I can't stand up straight and have to hold onto the wall to get to the bathroom, dizzy, weak, and unbalanced.  Horrible feelings.

I agree that you should get to the doctor with these symptoms.  the first doctor I went to, prescribed meclazine for three times a day, and said it was vertigo.  The meclazine helps but does not eliminate the symptoms.  they still happen sometimes.

It sounds like something that you should pay attention to.  If I were you, I would call the doctor for advice.
