Hondo,
I am the token guy with lupus and other AI diseases. The only circulatory disease I have is raynauds which is common with lupus. It mainly affects the capillaries in fingers and toes but can be much more serious in some cases. Mine is a secondary condition not a primary case of raynauds.
Male sexual dysfunction is a complicated issue (I am not an expert on the subject) depending on age and many other factors. Nothing in my list of diseases has been a direct cause of problems although my general condition probably has. I have a disease called polymyositis which is a muscle disease and lost 40 lbs of muscle in a week. Hard for anything to work properly when your body is so weakened with many side conditions. Also had internal organ involvment so nothing in my body is exactly right anymore even though I have made a miraculous recovery over the past 3 years. Was a quadriplegic in Jan 2006 and now can play golf, ski and hike...not that well but I can do it.
You should discuss your problems with your doctor and perhaps see a specialist. Keep in mind that lupus is a systemic disease and can affect many more things than you realize. I am still trying to get a handle on everything that lupus, scleroderma and PM has done to my body. Did your doctor identify your circulatory condition? What is your age? What meds are you taking? Some of the meds to treat lupus can cause sexual dysfunction.
Of all the things that lupus can do to you sexual dysfunction is not high on the worry list. Most cases can be treated in time or go away on their own as you get the disease under control or adjust your meds. I am old and you might be younger and this is a bigger issue but you should focus on treating lupus and then treating the secondary conditions. Sexual dysfucntion is not life threatening but lupus can be.
Hope you can get some answers and if you need to talk off line I can provide my email address.
