When I forst had bloodwork done (when symptoms first started), I tested highly positive for the anti-dsdna.....1 month later (and 2 weeks after taking plaquenil), my anti-dsdna is now normal.
Is this something that happens often?
I am really confused.

the blood work varies greatly by day and lab. one day your ana could be high positive and the next negative or positive at one lab and negative at another. at least that is what my rheumy says.

If the labs vary and now my ANT-dsdna is normal, after being highly positive (but my ANA, SSA, SSB are still positive), was i misdiagnosed?

no, labwork is not the sole basis of diagnosis. If it was then you neede a different doctor. BTW the other labs are still positive which indicates that the original labwork was likely correct.
I have all negative tests but am diagnosed because I more than meet the criteria

Thank you both for your responses. Between the doc appointment, blood work and med. side effects, I think I'm starting to lose my mind!
