Has anyone found a company that will write a policy for long term disability with Lupus.

I'm sorry I guess I don't understand what you are asking. You mean somone that will take it to court to represent you? I didn't have to go through that stuff so you probably are saying it just right it's me with the bubble brain. I hope somone here can help.
hugs

Hi Pain, I think that would easiest to get through an employer. But if you are asking about it, I guess you are trying to get it individually. I'm not sure how that works even for a group. When I had coverage at work, I had to fill out a form, but I wasn't dx'd yet and didn't realize I had any big issues . . . so I don't remember if there were health questions or not. Carol . . . long term disability is an insurance policy that will pay a portion of your wages if you are sick/injured and unable to work for a long period of time. I bet Lynnwood knows something about this. Blessings!

I purchased a private long term disability policy years ago, long before lupus arrived on the scene, and it has saved my @ss financially since I got sick. However, I know nothing about getting a LTD policy *after* you get sick -- I doubt that could happen with a *private* policy like mine, but maybe if you were a member of a group -- like through work -- sometimes you can get these things thru a professional organization or AARP or ??? Sorry I don't have better news,
