My father was a world war ll vet.  My father was a changed man due to this war with Japan.  a 16 year old boy who lied about his age and joined the Marine Corps.  and my fifteen year old mama loved her husband, and waited for him to get back home to her.  then they take birth to me.  many bad things happened to my parents, but they were always involved with me all of my life.  i am very thankful.

YES! Happy Veteran's Day to ALL who have served and ALL of their family members. I can't thank you all enough for keeping this country a safe place to live. Suggestion: Each year, I try to honor at least one veteran. Sometimes I send out thank you cards to each one I know and occasionally, I'll even send a little gift in the mail or deliver it personally. This year, I invited my brother over and served him a really nice lunch. I can't tell you how much it means to our veterans to receive even a hug, a thank you. I know there is a Marine hall nearby . . . I'm thinking I could even find out when they meet there and send some cookies or cake or something. Thanks for starting this topic Okie. Blessings!

I have a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes! I'm so grateful for those who haved served and those who are serving! My pastor is a Vietnam vet. He was a flight medic and was shot and shot down several times. I'm going to do something nice for him! God Bless America!

THANKS TO ALL VETS!!!!!! 

One thing I try to do, is when I see anyone in uniform, (well, when I used to actually leave the house), I walk up to them and thank them for keeping me and my family safe.  They need to hear this as much as possible.  Again, Thank You and God Bless You!!

Oh, Rosie, (head shaking sadly), there's a bit of the fog drifting around.... Babs is a veteran, but currently not posting as she had to let her internet go. Barbara Lee is a military wife, husband Bill just retired from service. Hi Donna, didn't know you'd served, hope you are feeling better these days.
