Arava is starting to work!

I woke up this morning and actually felt like a normal human being for the first time in years. I was working around the house before I even made my coffee, which is so unlike me, and suddenly stopped and realized that I didn't hurt all over. I've also been back on my gluten-free diet for a week or so and think that may be helping too. I'll know in a couple of weeks if my liver is able to tolerate this new med, so wish me luck! Wow! I didn't remember what this felt like!

Two days ago I fell flat on my face walking in my driveway and yesterday I had to take a cane with me. Today I feel like I could walk ten miles. I pray that the Arava continues to make me feel like this!

My physical therapy starts this afternoon and I'm anxious to find out what it's going to be like.

Do any of you have WII fit? I was looking at it online last night and it looks like such a terrific way to exercise at home and have fun at the same time. Ed McMahon, where are you?

I hope the rest of you are having a good day. It feels like Spring in Oklahoma. There is hope for us friends, if we can just figure out what our bodies need!

First, I am so glad that you are feeling better! I do have Wii Fit and it is great! It can be set at any ability level and is easy to follow. I am not very good at those "game things", but my kids and grandkids are, so the ability to play at different ability levels is a real plus! It does give you a workout, and you don't even realize that you are working. Did that make sense?
I am so glad that your medicine is working. I will say a little prayer that you can continue to tolerate it and do well.

Yay, yay, yay    I'm so happy to hear good news.  I can imagine what a great feeling it was to be able to do things around the house and not hurt so bad. We are actually looking for a Wii fit.  We got a Wii during the holidays and have been looking for the fit to go along with it, but they are sold out everywhere  My dad and his wife have one and we used it some over the holidays and it is pretty neat.  There are some very mellow low impact things to do which would be great for us lupies.

I'm so happy to hear that the Arava is working for you. That must be such a relief to know that you've found something that helps. I'll be praying that is continues to work for you for a long time.

I think it was great that you had the opportunity to meet Carol. It was great this past summer when Lynnwood, Mom46, Auntkay, Butterflake, and I were able to meet and have lunch together. It's great to have a face to put with the image we have in our minds. I'm sure you both had a great time.

I just wanted to let you know how happy I am for you and to remind you, not to over do it. When we feel good, we have a tendency to over do it and then we pay for it for several days. I'm glad that you're feeling better, I'm very happy for you Pat.
