Hi Everyone. I've been very sick for a week now. I have a chest cold that gave me a flare. Last spring allergies/cold led to infected parotid glands. I became so sick I couldn't dress or bathe myself and it took months to recover. Monday my Rheumy gave me antibiotics and a depomedrol shot. It's helping, but it will be a while before I'm well. I have tickets to see Gone With the Wind at the grand old Fox Theater here in ATL April 19. I'm still going to walk the Lupus walk April 25...? Gotta keep trying w/o doin too much. Love, Butterflake

I hope the meds. and shot won't take that long to kick in so you won't feel so bad for the theater and your walk. Our walk is in oct. Hope you feel better soon. Take care..

(((Donna))) hope you feel better soon. I love spring but it seems like it really doesn't like me because this is around the time that I get sick every year. I'm glad you got some treatment and I hope it kicks in quickly for you. Keeping you in my thoughts!

How are you feeling? Hopefully much better! That is so exciting about seeing Gone with the wind. That is one of my favorite movies :-)! I hope you had a good easter and hope you didnt over do it too much. Let us know how you are doing! You are in my prayers!!!

Hi! Donna,

I love theater, and did children's theater when I was younger. Rest up lots so you don't miss the show. Is there a way you could borrow a wheelchair and ride in the lupus walk? I always thought it so funny we have a lupus walk, when so often we don't have energy enough to walk to the shower! tongue We do ours in October, and one of my dreams is to rent and elephant and SIT during the Lupus Walk! smilewinkgrin   Isn't that a great idea? Picture camels, and ostrichs, horses, Great Danes, anything where I didn't have to walk.... I am exhausted just thinking about it! Anybody got an elephant? Hope you feel better soon,

Thanks Lynn, Judy, Stacie, Debbie, Rosie, Des, Amy and Sue. I'm getting well. As all of you know, it just takes longer for us to bounce back than most folks. Between the depomedrol shot and acupuncture, I'm getting good pain relief and now I don't sound like I'll cough up my intestines. Sue if I get hold of an elephant, I'll send her ur way when I'm done with the walk. At the very least, u can ride her to the shower smilewinkgrin Thanks again guys. You're the Best!!! Love, Donna
