So sad!

Hello, everyone. Hope you are all well.

Had to share - I cried today, my doctor (of 6 years) has taken another job. I had to jump through so many hoops to get my insurance to let me see him (he's tertiary - well, he was). He listened - he cared. And he has me on a great treatment plan - I am seeing results!

Obviously, I realize he has to do what's best for himself and his family, but I will surely miss him.

You all know the many different doctors we have to go through to find the right one. And the wait for a dx. Do I have to do that all again? Will I have to come off all meds and start the whole testing process? Aaaackkk!

If you have a great doctor, give him a hug (and if he is in NE Ohio, PM me!). Really - PLEASE!

Oh Fran, so sorry to hear that!  I know how much difference it makes to have a good, caring doctor who listens and responds wisely.  I hope you can find another who can step into and fill his shoes.   Try and think positive - and there is an active Lupus support group in the Cleveland area - they have a list of docs specializing in  Lupus - have you checked that out?

Oh no. I don't know what I'd do if my doctor left. I really hope you find another really good doctor. Would your current doc be able to recommend someone to you?

Oh Fran! I'm so sorry that your doc is leaving. Even if the doc isn't a frantastic one, we all develop a report with them. I really hope you can find another good doc and don't have to start meds over. Love, Butterflake
