I've been going through a lupus flare for several weeks now, and the worst of it was last week, when I could hardly get out of bed for days. But my rheumy upped my prednisone dose from 5 mg to 7mg and I'm surprised.....just that little bit seems to be making a difference. Unless the plaquenil is starting to kick in....maybe they're both helping.

In any case I actually made it to work yesterday for the first time in almost 2 weeks. Today I'm working from home because I woke up in pain, but it's not as bad as last week.

So there is a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel! And I don't think it's a train! :)

Hi, i am new to the site and i know how you feel, i have been home for a whole week with a flare up. It is truly the worst, i havent had one in a while, but it seems like each one is worse than the last, and now i am getting depression.

I know there are people worse off than i am, but i cant help the way i feel. I am so tired of this pain. I have been praying all week for this to hurry up and end, i am so tired of hurting and not being able to do anything. And although im not alone, i feel like i am. I hope you get through this quick. Ekkie I'm so sorry about your pain....no, you're not alone, there are so many of us here who understand!

Sorry you are flaring but glad the Pred and/or Plaq is kicking in. I find it so odd that so many of us are flaring at the same time. I only have 3 days left on Pred, so hoping I will continue to feel ok after I stop on Sunday.

Thanks Stacie! You're right...there are a lot of people experiencing flares right now. Does a change in weather cause lupus flares? My husband's psoriasis is flaring so badly the doctor put him on 60 mg of pred per day for a week then he's supposed to taper down 10 mg every three days!

I do hope you continue to feel well too!
