I think I'm back

Hi and welcome back . I'm fairly new here, but I didn't want to read your post and not let you know that it melted my heart. I'd offer you the biggest real hug if I could, but one over the internet will have to do *hugs* I'm sorry to hear that you're dealing with some rough emotions...Way to go for reaching out however you can to people. I know from personal experience that's not easy when you're feeling depressed. Hang in there, ok?

Hi Donna, it's good to "see" you. I'm in the same boat you are right now with depression, crying, flare ups. It's been going on for a few months now also. I'm seeing a therapist weekly too. I'm on meds that seem to be working. How are you finding the therapy sessions? I've had about 10 now. It feels good to let out my frustration and anger. I hope you are benefitting from your sessions.

I'm here off and on. My depression comes and goes without warning. If you ever need to talk away from the forum, you can email me. I think we have a lot to relate to!

Hi Lynnwood, Ginny, Pat, Fran, Redrose and Ellie. Thank you so much for the replies. Hugs are always welcome. I read in a neurology journal recently that for some of us, despression is a way for a flare to manifest itself. So sometimes when you're hit with a tidal wave of depression, it's a lupus flare. Yeah, having lupus makes you depressed, but depression can be a flare. Go figure. Ginny I will try to send you a line. Lynnwood, I am SO thankful you're here in ATL, even if I can't pick up the phone. For me it's a very, very snail slow process.   Keep those hugs coming Ladies. Donna!!!! I am so glad you have made the step to reach out to us. We are here to encourage each other and try to cheer each other up. I sure hope that that the increased trip to the therapist and meds will do the trick for you! How are you feeling otherwise? I sure hope you arnt in much pain along with the depression! Welcome back Donna and its wonderful hearing from you!!!

Man, it's so good to hear from all of you old timers Babs, Emmi and Amy. Therapy is helping and I enjoy going. Tim and I combined our money accounts a few years ago and it didn't work out. (Refresh: I filed for bankruptcy when I was in bed for 3 months with no diagnosis) So we're splitting everything up and it's much better. I was driving a 1991 Celica which was a bear to get in & out, but now I have 2007 Chevy Hhr. I love it! I always keep my walker in the back and it's a breeze to drive. I always prefer my cane if I'm not walking far, but it didn't help a few weeks ago when I fell down the escolater at the medical building. Ouch. But what's really unfortunate is Thursday the man in the townhouse next door walked to the top of his stairs, had a massive heart attack and died. He was 54. Tim and I heard him thud down the stairs. This may sound odd, but a sign my depression is lifting is I feel fortunate to be alive. Love to all of you, Butterflake

Welcome back! You know, I too suffer from depression. And I found counceling really helps me, as well as pet therapy. I too, had a recent flare up, and of course over Thanksgiving. And I cry too, even without a flare up. However, you have friends, all of us understand how it is, and will be there for you. Hang in there. HUGSSSSSS
