I am a 28 yead old African America Female. about two weeks ago I caught a really bad cold, and had an inflamation in my eye. Due to the inflamation, I was referred to an opthamologist who diagnosed it as Scleritis. He informed me that this flare up is usually an indication of something going on inside the body and ordered several blood tests. The resuts indicated a positive SED rate and an ANA of 1:160. He informed me that this is usually a sign of Lupus, Rhumatic Fever, or Rhumatoid Athritis. I have had no symtoms of lupus and he reccomened I see a Rhumatologist. Give the fact that I am healthy and had had no symptoms, should I be concerned that I have Lupus or any other condition associated with a high ANA? Thanks in advance.
