Hi! All,
Please oh please oh please don't lose any more weight! Cause I find it and it relocates to MY butt. Alright, I will try not to look! There is comfort to know so many of us are in the same boat..... How would I eat an elephant? Let me count the ways... with strawberry icing, (the berries make it count as a fruit), whipped cream, (that's dairy for the protein), with almonds, (and we know how good NUTS are for us), and an icy cold beer (which counts as a vetetable cause it's grain and barley and hops, and if that's the case..... WE SHOULD ALL HAVE 2!!
But I am trying to slowly do better, to eat and cook better. I am using the new albino white whole wheat flour, you can even find it at Walmart now, veggies and fruit in season, splenda in my Georgia sweet tea, and one sandwich instead of two, and I am having good success with portioning out snacks in those nifty little ziplock snack sized baggies. If I count out 5 for my lunches, and 27 nuts are a serving, if I take the baggie instead of the can, I only eat one serving instead of 10! Salt is my down fall, and I puff up like a toad if I look at potato chips. What potato chips??? They were just flat potatoes, and we all know how good VEGGIES are to eat!
hugs,
suetoo
ps. speaking of lentils, I just made a wonderful little loaf of lentil bread, with whole wheat flour/unbleached white, the cooked lentils, water, yeast and a little sugar, in my bread machine on the dough cycle, then put it in my 4 mini loaves bread pan, and it was delish with strawberry preserves, toasted, and you would never know it had those funny little pea things in it. I give one loaf to my favorite mother in law, (THATs a WHOLE 'nother thread, tee hee), one to my daughter, one to the freezer and one to slice and eat for lunch. The small loaf pan makes a 4-5 inch square of bread which is a much smaller amt of carbs to eat at lunch which is what I crave... carbs. And more carbs. Did I mention MORE Carbs?
