Sounds like a busy day -- but I wouldn't worry too much about the lab results. Lots of Dr's won't look at the labs until everything is back so they only have to look once. And they don't allow the office staff to give out lab information until after they have looked at it. So it's probably just protocol and not an indication that anything is wrong.
Your dentist is freaking out unnecessarily -- the Fosamax reaction he's talking about is rare, comes only after long-term use, and in no way is going to cause an issue after one dose! Amoxicillin is fairly common to take on or around gum/teeth issues, esp. if there is any risk of an anti-immune illness or a heart murmur.
Meanwhile, though, some days just take a heck of a lot more energy to get thru than others!
