I'm so confused!
My latest lab tests (3 pages of results) show that everything is perfect *except*
Complement C4 (serum) results, which are 43 mg/dL with normal being 9 - 36
I've looked this up every which way, and I find lots of results for what it means to have LOW C4, but only 1 result for HIGH C4. What I've found says this indicates active inflammation.
My questions:
1) Is this the same meaning everyone else has found? High C4 means inflammation?
2) How could this one test indicate inflammation when the results of the extended CBC seemed normal? (Oops, on second glance I see Neutrophils were at 72%, so high in normal range.)
Thanks,
