So my daughter is now 2 months old. I was able to breastfeed her for about 6 weeks until she didn't seem satisfied so shes now on formula and as my body is returning to normal, so is my Lupus. Slowly but surely its starting to come back. Im assuming I had brain fog today because 20 minutes after I had eaten a plate of food I sat down to eat some cookies & milk and thought for a minute...have I eaten yet today?...felt like the most ridiculous thing ive ever done. So following up with my rheumy she has decided she wants to do some routine bloodwork & urine to see where I stand since symptoms are coming back, do the MRI/MRA w/contrast & endoscopy & coloonscopy I could not have done before due to the pregnancy. I am being kept on the Keppra to prevent seizures and may possibly have an EEG done but that is to be left up to my neurologist. Im not back on any other meds I had to discontinue previously due to the pregnancy, however if the GI testing reveals some inflammation, or IBD as my rheumy suspects then she has told me were looking at adding Imuran or TNF inhibitors. The plaquenil hasn't done anything for me really and the only thing that did anything for my disease process up to this point had been the pregnancy..too bad we cant be pregnant forever lol...anyone else had a similar situation in regards to a pregnancy vs. a non-pregnant state? Hope everyone is well. *hugs* -Lupie Britt
