Whenever medically your "needs" are not being met you should find another Physician.
Much of the time the patient is the best indication of what is wrong medically but it is imperative you find a Doctor who listens.
I personally, and not just with Lupus, have been ignored throughout my life medically only to have it result in some bigger medical issues requiring surgeries and/or hearing loss. I had even threatened to begin drinking heavily and ********* to alleviate symptoms that were ignored....desperate! (I never did but wanted to)
Women I think are ignored often times as they consider us emotional beings. Women however, are much more in tune with their bodies.
I have diagnosed myself on more than a few occasions and this is very sad and discouraging. If you are lucky as I FINALLY was....a "angel" Doctor will appear in your life and not only listen to you but help you in all ways needed.
I also believe that Physicians are often thinking far too "clinically" when diagnosing and this leaves out the patient themselves who is speaking about
how they feel, etc., only to be ignored. This is something that needs to be changed in the Medical community...that we are looked at as patients and not a clinical experiment.
Best wishes.....
