confused  went to my urologist yesterday and said my blood work from 11/2010 came back normal except for the Ana Titer test which showed : Equal to or greater than 1:320".

Said this by all means does not mean I have Lupus, but that I may be susceptible to this desease. 

He asked me question like if I have arthritis and I told him that I was not aware of it if I do.  I am a diabaetic and will turn 60 this year.

He ordered an "Ana Reflex Panel " blood test.  Have no idea what this will proof.

Could you please explain in layman's term, what does this test being positive implies?

Are my results a low positive, what should I be aware of testing possitive for this ana titer?

I am kind of worried.

Please do not worry.

ANA suggests a possible susceptibility to an auto-immune disease. However, it is NOT the sole contributing factor defining any one disease, and it can be positive, like yours, with no disease at all. To get an actual diagnosis, or even anything approximating one, you would need to see a rheumotologist as well as have a collection of other symptoms.

A urologist talking about lupus is about as helpful as a dentist talking about gout. In other words, not his specialty and nothing he has more than a very minimal amount of knowledge about.

turn  Thanks so  much, I actually do not have any of the "lupus" simptoms from the address you sent.

now what would the "Ana relex panel" test show?
