Different types of ANA tests

Has anyone ever gotten the result of their ana back with positive 1.2?? It is not a ratio like my last one that was positive 1:160 with a speckled pattern. It was a different kind of test, I believe an elisa test. My doc said it wasn't real high. All my other stuff is negative including my x-rays for the most part. He doesn't think it is fibromyalgia. But, every day, despite being on 400 mg of plaquenil, my joints hurt, especially at the end of the day and at night. Advil helps but it isn't good to take every day. I just feel frustrated b/c he doesn't have a diagnosis for me. And, I feel very fatigued when this joint pain hits. It's mostly in my hips and shoulders. My hands are also swollen. My sed rate came down, so I am thinking the plaquenil did that. I have hair growing back in too. My hair had gotten a lot thinner. It seems odd that plaquenil would make my hair grow in if something hadn't been inhibiting it. Any suggestions for me??? I am thinking of going back to my old rheumy. Prednisone works but raises my blood sugar. I seem to also ache more when I am out in the daylight. Can people take years to develop lupus?? I am thinking the rheumy suspects something but isn't saying. It's like a wait and see kind of thing, so I am frustrated.
