So, I've posted here on the Lupus forums before. I was tested for Lupus once, and it came back negative. I want to get tested for it again.
My Gastro wants to say I have Crohn's Disease, but the inflammation in my GI tract (stomach and terminal ileum) is very non-specific and the Crohn;s blood test came back negative, so he wanted to test me for Lupus and see a rheumatologist. The rheumy cleared me of Lupus, Lyme disease, and some other things.
I started getting sick in late December, a little before New Years. I was sleeping a lot, and very tired and just didn't want to leave my house, then all the GI pain happened. I've had headaches every day for the past 6 months, chronic fatigue, flushed face, tremors in the arms, twitching in my legs, constant sweating, heat and light sensitivity, and low grade fevers. I went to the emergency room 6 days ago, a different ER than the one I go to because they never do anything for me because "my illness is all in my head and i'm having anxiety attacks." So they gave me pain meds for my migraine, and they did nervous system tests, like the usual "smile, push my arms, lift your legs" that kind of stuff. They did a blood test, and I tested positive for Mononucleosis. Which nobody ever thought to test me for in the beginning.
I was just curious if anybody has had an experience like this? That they had Mono that has lasted for months? I have heard stories about people who have had mono for months, even over a year. My uncle apparently had Mono for a year and 3 months.
I'm worried.
