New..confused, concerned and scared.

Easter weekend of this year I started to develop little blisters on my chest. They would go away during the week but weekends they came back. I was thinking it was caused by the turf soccer fields where my daughters games had been (always been real grass in the past) so I ignored it for awhile. After a month or so I got annoyed and went to my Dr. He thought it was impetigo ( niece had a case from school) and prescribed topical antibiotics. Of course this didn't help but I continued to used out of fear of infection ( i have had MRSA twice so scared of infections). about 2 mo ago after a very sunny weekend I ended up in urgent care with blisters all over my arms,neck, upper back and chest. Basically anywhere exposed to the sun was covered in blisters. Urgent care sent me home with steroid cream and orders to stay out of the sun. I love the sun so staying out of the sun is not going to happen especially when we get so little in the NW.
Anyway that hasn't helped at all. Went back to my DR who was baffled and sent me to a dermatologist. That was last Wednesday and she feels I have lupus. I was given antibiotics and prednisone for 10 days and go back on Wednesday for biopsy and blood work.
I guess my questions are what should I expect? What can I do? I guess this is completely unexpected. I am 32 in ok health other than sleep apnea and tendenitis. I do have ankle and foot pain frequently but I attributed that to having a crazy busy job; derm said lupus?
Any thoughts..advise? What I should be thinking about or doing? Or not doing?

I am also being tested for an autoimmune disease. I have had a rash on my neck that comes and goes (for over a year) and 3 months ago it started spreading all down my back, on my stomach and hip. The dermatologist took a biopsy and it came back as chronic hives. Since I have osteoarthritis, carpal tunnel, pain in all joints and lost my sense of smell, it could be Lupus. The last time I had too much sun exposure, the fluid in my joints got low and the pain was terrible. Still waiting on the results of bloodwork and urinalysis. I also live in the NW, and am happy to see sunny days. However, I agree with couchtater. Take care of your skin, keep the sun off it as much as you can. I didn't worry until I started developing basal cell carcinoma, and the last surgery was right under my eye continuing onto my cheek. I was lucky this time. The scar does not show because she cut it out in a way that blends with the natural lines in my face. I'm not pressing my luck anymore! Good luck with your diagnosis! Hope all goes well.

I've looked back and could see all my troubles adding up over the last few years, too.
