Thanks for your response couchtater. His 2nd lot of tests were done yesterday, so am just waiting on the results which will take a few weeks. He seems very unwell at the moment and looks to me as if he is in the middle of some type of flare-up. I wasn't sure if his ANA was considered low, med or high.
I know I'm probably being paranoid, but my oldest daughter died 6 years ago @ the age of 17 from a cerebellum infraction (stroke). She presented to me symptoms of lupus throughout her lifetime which the Dr's would not test her for due to age. Constant headaches most of her life, sensitivity to the sun, fatigue, rashes etc, general feeling of unwell although she tried to keep herself healthy. All of which my son exhibits with the addition of joint pain and dark coloured malar rash on his face. The only reason they tested our son was because my husband was persistent and wouldn't take No for an answer. The Dr finally agreed but only on the basis that I have SLE.
My niece is also under a genetics team testing for connective tissue/autoimmune disorders which have affected her heart. They are testing her for Marfans.
I'll just wait for the test results. I know a positive ANA could mean anything and not necessarily Lupus. Thanks again.
